        Outreach

        Outreach Team

The Outreach Team meets monthly to provide opportunities for local community outreach and then mobilizes people to participate in the efforts. We have developed several opportunities for you, as an individual, or family, or Life Group to participate in as we take the Gospel into our community. Feel free to join the Outreach Team!

Missions and the Missions Lead Team

The Missions Lead Team meets monthly to help others increase their knowledge and understanding of missions, to help instill within others a desire for mission work, and to support the followers of Jesus Christ as they impact their world.

The Missions Lead Team plans and oversees projects and activities that strengthen missions within the church. They plan and oversee “Moments for Missions”–a monthly highlight of a missionary/mission organization during the worship service. They inform the church of the work or needs or prayer requests of the missionaries we support. They also communicate with missionaries on the field.

        Summer Camp

Every summer Journey Church hosts a nightly, week-long Summer Camp (otherwise known as a V.B.S.). This camp is free and is for kids K-5th grade. Each year has a different activity theme, but the overarching theme is always about Jesus. Come join us for some summer fun, and for the family meals each night as well!

        Unity Christian Schools

Unity Christian School in Fulton has provided a quality, accredited, Christ-centered education since 1921.  Unity added Unity Christian Preschool and Childcare in 2002 to provide three and four year old preschool, day care, and before/after-school care.  In all, Unity serves 150 children at U.C.P.C. and over 120 K-12 students with an education founded in Biblical truth with a Christian worldview.

Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

In attempt to keep Christ-centered education affordable, only 60% percent of Unity’s budget comes from tuition.  Area churches, alumni, and other donors make up the remainder of the budget.  In addition, in 2008 Unity opened Bargain Bonanza, a quality retail thrift store on 2nd Street in Clinton.  Thanks to the donations received and many volunteer hours donated, Bargain Bonanza has already contributed over $1 million to Unity’s budget.

“Thank you for your support of Unity Christian Schools.  We greatly appreciate the monetary support, but we also appreciate the volunteer help and donations at Bargain Bonanza.  Most importantly, we covet your prayers. With the partnership of fellow believers in the Gateway Area, and by the grace of God, we hope to continue shining the light of Christ to the young generation for many years to come.”
