Ministries of Journey Church
Below is a snapshot of some of our ministries.
Journey Students has various activities, and emphasizes the importance of spiritual growth and relationships of the students here at Journey Church (6th-12th grade).
Journey Church desires that all children be given a safe, warm environment in which to learn Godly truths for their lives.
In order to adequately serve children of all ages, our church has tailor-made groups and activities for all age groups.
Men of Honor provides men opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth through weekday and Sunday morning Study Groups, small groups, as well as monthly events and special outings. A new program called “Gear Up!” is starting January 22, 2020 to help strengthen men (high school aged and older) to lead where God has placed them.
Daughters of the King provides women the opportunity to build community with other women and encourages spiritual growth through weekday and Sunday morning Study groups, retreats, luncheons, and special events.
The M&Ms (Mature & Motivated) hold a monthly luncheon on the third Thursday of every month for a time of food, fellowship, and prayer. This is an open group for anyone 50 years and over.
Missions Lead Team
The Missions Lead Team meets monthly. Our MLT helps our church family fulfill its vision of Forming Followers of Jesus Who Impact Their World. The MLT communicates regularly with our missionaries and our church family; provides financial support for our missionaries through our annual budget; and evaluates the changing needs with our missionaries and church family.
Other Care Ministries
The Care Ministry meets the needs of our church family. We have a Deaconess Board who assist in the spiritual care and nurture our church family through communion preparation, baptism preparation, funeral preparation, and other worship services (flowers, card, gift-giving, and visits). We also have a Visitation Team who visit those who are: in hospitals, elderly, widows, and shut-ins. Our team provides encouragement and prayer to those visited. Home communion is also available upon request.
