There are many opportunities to serve at Journey Church. You can get plugged in to many different ministries.

Fill out the form below if you are interested in serving in one of these following areas:

        Serve with…

        The Host Team

This is a great area of ministry to immediately plug-in to! The Host Team (Greeters, Ushers, and Connection Point) provides a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors and helps guests get connected into our church. If you have never served in a church before, the Host Team can be your starting point!

        Greeters

The greeter team welcomes everyone who comes through the doors.  They set the tone by initiating conversation and making people feel comfortable.  They also answer questions and assist guests to the children’s ministry areas.

        Ushers

The Usher team arrives early on Sunday morning to create a pleasant atmosphere inside our auditorium. The ushers hand out bulletins at the door and welcome those entering our auditorium. Also, they pass out and collect the offering plate.

        The Connection Point

The Connection Point provides information to regular attendees and members and provides personal attention to our guests, such as escorting families with children to specific areas, answering questions and orienting guests to our facilities.

        Worship Teams

These two teams help facilitate our worship services on Sunday mornings by leading through serving – both upfront and behind the scenes.

        Music Team

The Music team seeks to provide music that inspires people to worship God during our corporate worship services. If you can play an instrument or sing, we would love to have you be a part of the music team! We are always looking to add more instruments and voices.  This is a great opportunity to use your gifts for the Lord!

        Audio/Visual Team

The Audio/Visual Team enhances the worship services and other events by providing transparent technical support for worship. The sound/audio technician mans our sound board while the visual technician takes care of the slides and lighting. We always have room for one more to serve on the A/V team!

        Journey Kids and Journey Students

If you enjoy spending time with kids and/or students and teaching them the love of Jesus, then we encourage you to get involved with Journey Kids or Journey Students!

One of the great joys we have here at Journey Church is seeing our kids and students discover who God is and who He created them to be. Our children and student ministries (Journey Kids and Journey Students) are driven by loving and caring volunteers who give their time and energy to teach our kids the amazing truths found in God’s Word.

Here are opportunities to serve with kids and students:

Nursery (infants and toddlers), Preschool, Children’s Sunday School, Children’s Church, Awana, Summer Camp, Middle School Life Groups, High School Life Groups, and Journey Students Nights.

        Care Ministries

Journey Church has multiple care ministries to help care for our church family and those around us. Here’s a couple of ways you can get involved in our care ministries:

        Visitation Team

One of the ways we care for our church family here at Journey Church, is that we make sure that our people are visited, especially if they are hospitalized, elderly, or home-bound.
When a team member makes a visit, we try to encourage and pray with the person visited. We also provide home communion upon request. If you are caring, compassionate, and a good listener–we could use you on the visitation team!

        Meals

Two or three meals may be provided to our church family members after hospitalization, extended illness, birth of a child, etc. The provision of meals are intended to help individuals during times of immediate need.
Meals are provided by church family volunteers. We are in need of more volunteers to help prepare meals. Please see our Care page to sign up.
