Train Yourself for Godliness
While in the midst of not meeting together in our church building due to COVID-19, we encourage everyone to meet in small groups at their homes for a time of worship to the Lord. Below are Worshiping Together Options with their corresponding resources and the Scripture used for this week's message/sermon.
Worshiping Together Options:
Option 1: Order of Worship
Explanation of Order of Worship: Worship together by going through each of the elements as we do on a Sunday morning, using the documents and song playlist linked below.
Option 2: Focused
Explanation of Focused: have time in worship with songs, the sermon, and prayer. Feel free to use the song playlist (or any worship songs your group wants) and the discussion questions document for further study.
Option 3: Sermon Only
Explanation of Sermon Only: simply listen to the sermon. Feel free to use the discussion questions for further study.
1 Timothy 4:6-10 (ESV): A Good Servant of Christ Jesus
6 If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; 8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 9 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. 10 For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
